Cereus Graphics' Open House Draws Enthusiastic Crowd
May 20, 2003
Phoenix, AZ May 20, 2003 - In celebration of its recent 30th Anniversary, Cereus Graphics held an Open House on March 13, 2003 at its state-of-the-art facility in Phoenix. Drawing a crowd of more than 250 designers and marketing communications professionals, the event provided the company with the opportunity to demonstrate its new 6-color Komori Lithrone S40 sheetfed press and its new HP Indigo 3000 variable data digital printing press.
Upon arriving, guests were asked to sign an electronic "guest book." This data was fed directly into the HP Indigo digital press. Five minutes later, guests were presented a set of four personalized poster calendars, each with different imagery and colors.
"The calendar posters were a great way to let the equipment speak for itself," says Cereus president Tom Ginter. "People were blown away not only by the speed and personalization features, but also by the quality of the Indigo. It's scary how close these digital presses are getting to offset quality."
In addition to showing off new equipment, the Open House afforded the opportunity to introduce to customers Cereus' new controller, Carmine Lombardi, as well as several new customer service representatives. Gary Meltzer was also a center of attention, upon being promoted from production manager to plant manager.
